sixdoves is a mission-driven company created to make showing up for someone with cancer more meaningful – and more helpful. Each care package is curated to support those undergoing cancer treatment by providing items for both practical relief of side effects and emotional comfort during one of life’s hardest chapters.
From organic natural ginger chews and oncology-friendly mouthwash to cozy socks, aromatherapy and a journal to document the cancer journey, every item is selected with care and intention – based on the real needs of people navigating chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and recovery. Whether they’re managing nausea, fatigue, dry mouth, or emotional overwhelm, sixdoves was designed to deliver comfort that truly makes a difference.
Inspired by our founder’s own cancer journey, we curate every care package to provide comfort, hope, and healing at a very difficult time in people's lives.
Why We Started sixdoves
sixdoves was born from the deeply personal journey of its founder, Steph Geissinger, who was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2019. While undergoing surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy, Steph experienced firsthand the many side effects of treatment — from dry mouth and mouth sores to fatigue, neuropathy, and hair loss. In the midst of it all, she was surrounded by love and support, but like so many people undergoing treatment, she found that well-meaning gestures — like flowers — didn’t always meet the real, day-to-day challenges she faced.
Out of that experience came a vision: to create something truly helpful for others going through cancer treatment as well as to provide a meaningful, helpful way for loved ones to show their love and support. sixdoves offers thoughtfully curated care packages that bring practical relief and heartfelt connection — combining gentle, safe essentials with comforting touches designed to support the grueling side effects of treatment.
The Meaning of sixdoves
The name holds special meaning: “six” represents the six rounds of chemotherapy Steph endured, and “doves” symbolize peace, hope, healing, and comfort.
Born from one of the hardest seasons of her life, sixdoves is both a reflection of Steph’s healing and a heartfelt promise to others: you are not alone. Her goal is to take the guesswork out of supporting someone facing cancer by offering care packages that are practical, intentional, and filled with meaning.
